Goliath Games is bringing the world of Rebecca Yarros' 'Fourth Wing' to your tabletop with 'Rise of the Wingleader,' a new strategy board game launching on Conscription Day (July 15). Priced at $24.99, the game immerses players in Basgiath War College, featuring fan-favorite characters Violet Sorrengail and Xaden Riorson with exclusive artwork.
What's Dropping
The 'Rise of the Wingleader' board game includes original character artwork, with Tairn's design chosen through an Instagram fan vote. Each copy comes with a metal Tairn bookmark that doubles as a first-player marker. A special Bookseller Variant will also be available at participating retailers, featuring exclusive collector packaging.
When & Where
Pre-orders are live now on Amazon ahead of the July 15 release. Goliath will host live gameplay demos at Gen Con (booth #2827) and San Diego Comic-Con, with details on the latter to be announced. Fans can also enter social giveaways on July 15 and October 1 for a chance to win immersive 'Fourth Wing' prize kits.
The Play
For collectors, this is a must-have with its fan-driven design elements and tie-in to the upcoming Prime Video adaptation. The metal bookmark adds unique value, and the Bookseller Variant could become a sought-after piece for completists. Resellers should watch initial salesβcomparable Goliath board games have sold around $28, but demand will depend on how the 'Fourth Wing' fanbase responds post-launch.
Is It Worth It?
At $24.99, this is squarely aimed at fans rather than flippers. The Bookseller Variant might hold more resale potential if it proves scarce, but the standard edition's price point suggests modest margins at best. For enthusiasts, the collectible elements and fan-centric design make it a solid pickup, especially with the TV series on the horizon.
